Flying Across Canada – Day 5 – Weyburn SK to Jamestown ND – Photos and a Video

Those teardrops with roads leading up to them … they are oil wells. Lots of Saskatchewan farmers supplment their income this way.
The land we flew over in North Dakota was mostly flat, interrupted once-in-a-while with these odd “ridged” areas.
As soon as we cleared customs in Minot, a swarm of young ladies came out and serviced our plane.
The folks at Minot have ‘decorated’ their “VADAR” brand de-ice equipment.
The FBO at Minot had a nice bathroom and free snacks.
These strange roads around the ponds are common on North Dakota farms. No idea what they are for.
